Summer Walks 2010
1. Monday June 28th
Meet at Newton Solney at 6:50 pm for a prompt 7:00 pm start.
Park in the main street near the Brickmaker’s Arms pub. A walk of approximately 4 miles which should take us two hours. Hopefully it will take in a badger sett or two, if I can find them. We intend to end up IN the Brickmaker’s Arms.
Most of the walk will be on farmland so boots are probably appropriate depending on the weather.
2. Tuesday July 27th (Yes, that’s TUESDAY, absolutely not Monday!)
Once again a 6:50 pm meet for a prompt 7:00 pm start.
Meet at the Hollybush Inn, Church Broughton. Park in the main street unless we get permission to use the pub car park in the meantime. This will again be a walk of 4 – 4½ miles and should take us between 2 – 2½ hours (field footpaths and a little lane walking). As with Walk 1 we intend to end up in the pub for a swift one.
(Please note – both of these walks have been arranged to include a pub as requested by several members who were bemoaning the absence of hostelries on last year’s outings!)
